Veterans support soldier’s families…
The military veterans of American Legion Post 42 came forward with a strong show of support for the families of soldiers serving their country during the holiday season. Who would know better the hardships that soldier’s families endure during these deployments than the veterans that have been in those shoes? Carl Boyd American Legion Post 42 received a big thank you for their support of 108th US Army Cavalry Squadron Family Support Group Christmas event. The families were very grateful for this support during the lonely holiday season.
Pictured is Hayden Collins presenting a certificate of appreciation from the 108th Family Support Group to Post 42 Commander Bev McGruder at the January 12 post meeting.
The plaque read in part:
“For your support of the soldiers and families of the 1-108th Cavalry Squadron during the Annual Christmas Celebration. Your patronage is an inspiration to the soldiers, their families, and the community. Your dedication to supporting our soldiers and their families has helped strengthen morale and reduce the strain of separation during this holiday season.”
