Hayden Collins articulates leadership challenge at Republican Party meeting

Five candidates running for State Representative in Districts 12, 14, and 15 participated in the Saturday morning forum at the Republican Party headquarters in Cartersville.  The standing-room-only audience also heard presentations by the candidates for Bartow County school board, and state and federal Senate seats being decided in the upcoming election.

After opening remarks, each of the candidates responded to questions from the audience, which focused on zero-based budgeting and control of spending, schools and transportation, and the intent and interpretation of Constitutional issues.

Hayden Collins described the demands on leadership in combat situations and in running one’s own business, his experience in meeting those demands and confronting and successfully responding to such situations.

“Indeed, one of the biggest factors in the next Georgia General Assembly is going to be stress.  Tough decisions are going to have to be made, and you can’t back down from it.  I have made tough decisions in combat and in business, and I will make the tough decisions in the Georgia General Assembly.”
