Hayden and Sandra Supporting Humane Society

Hayden and Sandra Collins were glad to be part of Thursday’s Humane Society benefit at The Cellar restaurant in Cartersville, which collected donations of dog and cat food.

Dogs have been part of their foster home since it opened, giving the children loving companionship and a sense of responsibility for their care – and one of the dogs came to the Collinses from a foster home for dogs!

While walking in Bartow County’s neighborhoods, Hayden and his team have also taken along dog biscuits for four-footed supporters.  “The Humane Society’s efforts have benefited our family, and we are glad to return the favor.”

A longstanding Civil Air Patrol commitment occupied Hayden Collins’ calendar – the cadets’ summer Encampment program, held annually at the end of June at Fort Gordon, for which Hayden is usually part of the leadership staff.  But this year the Colonel was able to find a replacement, to allow Hayden to take part in Tuesday’s debate, which was broadcast live on WBHF in Cartersville.

Joining candidates for Senate and school board contests onstage at the Grand Theater downtown, Hayden fielded questions that covered a range of subjects.  While the incumbent suggested that both the Republican candidates for State Representative of District 15 have similar views, Hayden Collins’ responses displayed the innovative ideas and determination that have brought him to this election – recognizing the need for reorganization in Georgia’s Department of Human Services, and supporting the Bridge School model as a flexible yet fiscally responsible option to the reduction of the state’s education budget.

Hayden appreciated the opportunity to debate in a public setting.  WBHF AM 1450 will repeat the broadcast of the hosted forum prior to the July 20 election.
